About Spring Retreat
Shakti Space Yoga Studio is delighted to welcome acclaimed Bharatanatyam artist Kalashree Mridula Nambiar for a special lecture-demonstration workshop that promises to be both enriching and engaging.
In this unique session, Mridula will perform three short pieces of Bharatanatyam, each selected to showcase the expressive depth and storytelling power of the classical dance form. Drawing from her extensive training under Padma Bhushan Guru Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan and her ongoing mentorship with Smt. Rama Vaidyanathan, Mridula brings a rich legacy and a fresh, contemporary voice to her performance.
The purpose of the workshop is not only to present the dance, but to invite participants into the world of Bharatanatyam. Through a blend of movement, storytelling, and dialogue, Mridula will share the meanings behind the gestures, emotions, and rhythms that shape the form. The session will conclude with an interactive conversation, offering participants a chance to ask questions, explore key concepts, and even try out…
